IRHSP Matte Varnish is a brand new formula that when applied over the desired paint surface creates a matte finish. Depending on how thick it is applied, a semi gloss or matte appearance is achievable leaving a smooth surface. You can mix this product with any of our other IRHSP mediums to make it thicker. This product is compatible with any oil based heat set paint products including Genesis. You will love the new consistency and have fun being creative with this product to make sure you are happy with the end result.

DIRECTIONS: After heat setting the paint, let it cool to room temperature. Place some IRHSP matte varnish on a palette and stir with a spatula to make it more fluid. Using a wide brush, apply one thin coat of the matte varnish over the paint. If you want it thinner, use a solvent of your choice. We recommend letting it sit for a couple of minutes after applying it to your surface but it is not necessary. Haet to 265F/129°C and bake for 9 minutes just like the IRHSP colors.

 We have created over 40 colors and the paints will be offered in 1/2 and 1 oz. jars. The mediums will be offered in 1 oz. and 4 oz. jars. The paints and mediums are odorless and non toxic, build well when you are adding layers and just a dream to paint with. Their unique creamy texture is what makes them so special and they are highly pigmented so a little will go a VERY long way. We have had several artists and sculptors try them and the feedback has been all positive with no concerns.

 IRHSP's and mediums are high quality industrial paint for vinyl. IRHSP's are oil based and can be diluted with our thinning medium or solvents. These paints have an extremely high UV resistance and will not fade. Our formulas have been tested for over 2 years for steadfastness, durability and longevity.

IRHSP were designed to cure with heat. IRHSP's can be used with other heat set paints (oil based) or even air dry paint systems and when paired together, because of the creamy nature of IRHSP paints, the pigments will blend perfectly. Use IRHSP mediums or solvents to thin. Set your oven to 265 degrees F/129C and heat for 9 minutes.  Remove your product from the oven and allow it to cool fully before handling and applying more layers. The paint will not cure unless it reaches 265F/130C. This is crucial for the success of our heat set paints. If you choose to use a heat gun, be careful not to over heat the paint. Glass or ceramic palettes are preferred to mix your colors for washes. Store your IRHSP's at room temperature. IRSHP's will never dry out.
