Finja is a full silicone doll that was sculpted by artist Elisa Marx. Finja was produced in Germany using Ecoflex 10 HQ quality silicone by the Baltic Baby company. Ecoflex silicone is a very soft silicone and feels incredibly real. It is durable in the long term and can be dyed well with appropriate silicone paints.

At BALTIC BABY®, you can choose from two different skin tones: Natural or Artist.

The Natural tone is highly realistic and lets you enjoy your BALTIC BABY® even without additional paintwork. In the Artist version, your BALTIC BABY® comes in a neutral greyish tone, ideal for you to get creative and colour your BALTIC BABY® yourself.
It is anatomically correct, female. The head must be supported, like in a real baby.
Finja is completely silicone and worked in one piece. This creates a side seam (silicone scrap) that you can simply peel off or remove with a pair of nail scissors. Since all parts are not hollow, but completely made of silicone, the doll feels heavy.
A certificate of authenticity is included.
Finja is a sleepy baby with closed eyes.

Quality & craftsmanship: The craftsmanship process requires a micro seam that goes all the way round the baby and a small, flat area on the head where the silicones are filled in. Both are quality features of BALTIC BABY©, as we always cast in two-piece moulds.
Each of our full silicone babies is cast manually in a handmade mould. Which is why small "micro silicone bubbles" can be found on the skin. These can be easily removed by thorough washing and plucking with tweezers. Tiny air bubbles are also typical for the material and will be removed by us as far as possible.
Finja is our Fiete’s twin sister. Based on the male basic model Fiete we created a female version with the agreement of the artist Elisa Marx. This is not possible with all models, Fiete’s sculpture allowed this because it is not clearly gender-specific in its expression.
Finja is an absolutely natural identical version of a small, relatively premature baby. Like all our BALTIC BABY real life babies, Finja is cast out of high quality silicones.
Due to her authenticity, Finja is ideal for midwives, maternity wards and all teaching areas where the handling of premature babies or small babies is practised. But also artists and collectors who have specialised in absolutely lifelike reborn babies will appreciate the high quality in form and handicraft.
Genesis or acrylic colors cannot be used on silicones. Specific silicone colors are required and available in our shop.
